Entry for spectators is free, so bring as many supporters as you can!
Some BIRC Facts
- This year will be the 18th BIRC and the eighth consecutive year hosted at the NIA
- It is the world's largest indoor rowing race
- It is Britain's largest participatory indoor sports event
- Competitors ranging in age from 10-85
- BIRC offers race categories for each of the male and female paralympic rowing categories for seniors as well as juniors
- For the third year BIRC also offers FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) categories for paraplegics to compete
- The biggest growth area is juniors - representing 41% of individuals (figures from 2007)
