Concept2 DYNO Relative Strength Test

For the past two years, Concept 2 Australia have been collecting data on the Concept 2 DYNO from various groups. From this, they have produced a formula to produce a relative weight score for the DYNO. To use the test, all you have to do is enter your sex, age group and weight in kilogrammes. You can also, if you wish, enter your best score for the three exercises. The test will then produce a score which relates to what is the theoretical average for a person of that weight. If you entered your best scores, it will show where they are as a percentage of the average.

Alternatively, you can use the second form to produce a Relative Strength Chart for an age category for all weights. This is especially useful if you are testing a group and wish to be able to make effective comparisons between people of different weight.

IMPORTANT: the test protocol is as follows. Each exercise should be done three times and your score averaged out. For the Leg Press there should be four open dampers while for the Bench Push and Bench Pull there should be two open dampers. This is still a work in progress and we welcome any feedback on the test. E-mail us at webmaster@concept2.co.uk with your thoughts.
