World Rowing Indoor Sprints

Dates: March 10–12, 2017
Location: Participate on any Concept2 Indoor Rower (Models A–E)

The World Rowing Indoor Sprints is an initiative between Concept2 and World Rowing. The Sprints are a virtual indoor rowing championships modelled after the successful SkiErg World Sprints.

Unlike a traditional race, the World Rowing Indoor Sprints can take place anywhere in the world. You can take part on your own or in an organized event.

All you need to do is race 1000 metres on a Concept2 Indoor Rower (Model A–E rowers only, no Dynamic or indoor rowers on Slides) at your club, gym, school or home on March 10–12.

Individuals should enter their time in their Concept2 Online Logbook by 12 p.m. GMT on March 14.

Events should send their results by email to ranking@concept2.com. If you submit 20 or more individual results from an event held by your club or team you’ll be entered in a raffle for a new indoor rower for your facility. Results must be emailed by 12 p.m. GMT on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 or they will not be accepted. See the Indoor Sprints Challenge page on the Concept2 Logbook for more information on how to submit event results.

There will also be a separate raffle for events held in rowing development countries with 10 or more competitors. For information on this, please contact Sheila Stephens on sheila.stephens@fisa.org.

Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female times in each age and weight category.

Good luck!
