How the points are worked out

Standings are calculated as a percentage of the pace of the best result in each category from each round. So, if in Round 1 the fastest Year 9 team of 8 took 4:00.0 to cover 1,000m (average pace of 2:00/500m) they would receive 100 points. A team which took 5:00.0 to cover 1,000m (average pace of 2:30/500m) would then receive 80 points as this is 80% of the winners pace.
