Training

We've got together two six month training programmes for you. The plan by Terry O'Neill is from the Indoor Rowing Training Guide and is, perhaps, easier for the beginner than Frank Birch's. Frank's programme, however, also comes in two forms, one which works towards a week where the maximum work done is about 110 kilometres, and another which works towards 80. Both programmes are geared towards a twenty-four week cycle, so will need adjusting if you're starting with less time to play with.

As well as that, we've also got information on how to adjust your diet for the rigours of a marathon, plus tips and advice from people who have already completed one.
