National Junior IRC

The National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships (NJIRC) took place for the first time in 2007 and was an immediate success, with over 800 young people taking part. NJIRC is now firmly established as a key date in the indoor rowing calendar.
The 2008 event was be held on the 5th March at the British Genius Site in Battersea Park. The event will started at midday and had over 1,500 competitors racing.
NJIRC is organised by London Youth Rowing, a major sports initiative that operates a community based youth rowing programme, currently based in East London, the first such activity with plans to operate across the whole of Greater London. London Youth Rowing has three core activities: rowing programmes for schools and youth clubs, indoor rowing as a sport for young people in London and adaptive rowing programmes for young people with disabilities.
