On completion of the series, points will be added together and a series ranking will be given based on lowest score. Only the two lowest scores from the three events will count towards the series ranking. A finish in at least two events is required for individuals to qualify for a series ranking. A series ranking will comprise of an age category ranking and also an overall ranking (where individuals finish in the top 18 places overall in at least two races).

In the event of a tie, the difference in total time, in races where the tied competitors raced each other, will be used as the decider.

The male and female winners in each age category where at least five people qualify for a series ranking, will be entered into the draw to win the main prize.

There are two conditions under which a category winner in an age category where five people do not qualify for a series ranking, can be entered into the draw:

  1. The category winner finishes third or higher in the overall ranking.
  2. The category winner finishes higher in the overall ranking than the second placed athlete in the next youngest age category to theirs (where at least five people in that category qualified for a series ranking). For instance, the M50-59 age category winner finishes above the 2nd placed M40-49 age category athlete, in the overall ranking.

For illustration purposes, the following people would have been entered into the draw from the 2006 series. Zoe Lilly, Su Wilmot, Paul Holdaway, Peter Harrison, Marius Kwint and David Koss, giving a 1 in 6 chance of winning the main prize. 2006 Rankings can be viewed at www.dbmax.co.uk

The overall ranking winners will be the Prostate UK Rowathlon Series 2008 Male and Female Champions and will receive the DB Max Cup for one year (currently held by 2007 champions Lee Rankin and Louise Doddy (Barnett)).
