Meet The Team

We are a small team so our roles tend to merge - but here is an outline of our main areas:
Keith & Celia Atkinson are our husband and wife knowledge source. Keith is a former headmaster and Celia a teacher in Nottinghamshire and since retiring they have been the driving force behind the whole Concept2 Education Programme. Be careful what you ask Keith - he may just tell you what he really thinks!

Vicky Hart is the newest member of the team and is the person to speak to about arranging training sessions and any other support issues. She is also involved in the ongoing research projects we have underway. Don't get her talking about horses though

Tom Kay heads up the Concept2 Training and Education team. Call Tom for any general enquiries about either teacher training or events. Tom's an ex rowing world champion and you'll find him delivering some of our training sessions and events - so if you want to know what it's like to lead the "glamorous" life of an international rower...

Simon Larkin is a stalwart of Concept2. He is your first point of contact if you need help running events or races. He also holds the final say on our stock of loan machines and has experienced most of the technical hitches you are ever likely to come across - a man in demand.

Alex Skelton, with Keith, Maxine and a few other contributors, have written most of the schools training literature that we supply. He was a PE & Maths Teacher and also an SSCo, so he knows the score.

Maxine Tomkins & Paul Walker are our SSCo (Maxine) and PDM (Paul) team who deliver the practical teaching elements of our training courses. They are both currently in post, so bring an up to date, hands-on perspective which is so useful to teachers. Together and with Alex, they have written many of the lesson plans and schemes of work that we offer to get you started. There is more! Maxine also invented many of the indoor rowing games that you will come across in schools.
